Course Description
The dental pharmacology course, part of the Implant League platform, is concerned with the general principles related to pharmacology in dental practice, including proper use and selection of antimicrobials, analgesics, and mouthwashes. The course also focuses on blood thinners and their significance in dental practice. Our online courses emphasize the pharmacological actions and therapeutic applications of drugs used or implicated in dentistry.
Topics include introduction to microbiology, antibiotic prescription, antiviral medications, antifungal use in dental clinics, toothpastes and mouthwashes and their types and indications. Course Aims
The course aims to provide students with a solid grounding in the concepts and scientific decisions of drug uses in dentistry. Also, it aims to provide students with comprehensive information on uses of the major classes of clinically important drugs currently used in medical practice such as analgesics, antimicrobials and effects of blood thinners and its management.
